Advanti is proud to be the alloy wheels sponsor of three race teams, Team Proton R3, KL Tower Racing Team and  in the inaugural Sepang 1,000km Endurance Race, which was held in Sepang International Circuit from 4th to 6th June 2009. The race is open to production cars below 1900cc with a minimum of two drivers and a maximum of four drivers to a car, the first team that completes 182 laps (approximately 1,008km) of the 5.543km track will be announced the winner of the race day.

Team Proton R3 went in with 2 entries – a Proton Neo R3 and Proton Gen2 R3. Both cars were built fresh with a newly developed Campro engine. The Proton Gen2 had a good run and managed to clinch 2nd in Class 2 (below 1600cc) category, while the Neo stalled due to mechanical problems.

KL Tower Racing Team consist of three are racing veterans who are no strangers to the world of competitive racing. The team completed the race in their 1800cc Satria R3 in the Class 1 (1650cc to 1900cc) category. Despite mechanical problems occurred during the race, the team finished 7th in Class 1.

 

Team Red Bull Rookies consist of an all woman racing team which was selected in the nationwide Red Bull Female Driver Search program. After undergoing 4 months of intensive and grueling training, the team made an impressive debut at the Sepang 1,000km Race. The Honda Integra DC2fondly referred as ‘Diego’, finished 14th in Class 1.

All three teams raced with Advanti Racing’s light weight alloy wheels, GTS (M7510). This a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality and durability proven in the challenging 9 hours race. Previously, Advanti Racing GTS was also proven in other races - Asian Festival of Speed’s (AFOS), Asian Touring Car Super 1500Max Challenge and Merdeka Millennium Race. GTS is the choice for many motorsport enthusiast due to its light weight construction without compromising on strength and durability.
