Our Advanti has grown into teenager!

15 years thought it is not as long as others but it is, from my point of view – no bias, significantly successful. Advanti has a strongest network around the world. We sponsor so many international racing events incl the prestige F1. It proves how far we have gone and how far are we going…

2010 is over with the joy of the winners. Red Bull, with 15 pole-positions and ten victories, really deserves both titles.  Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel made an impressive record of ‘the youngest F1 winner in the history’ with 23 years old.  While Mark Webber proved to be good enough for a first driver position.

Having started from 14th (Buemi) and 15th (Alguersuari) on the grid, one place up from where they had qualified, as other drivers had been penalised, both our drivers made good starts, especially Jaime who made up a massive six places on the opening lap to be ninth as they came round for the first time.

STR in Germany – - weekend to forget …

Jaime Alguersuari and Sébastien Buemi started alongside one another on the grid in fifteenth and sixteenth places, so maybe they should have kept in mind the Golden Rule that when you are close together, you should at least ensure you get through the opening lap without tripping over one another. Unfortunately, in today’s German Grand Prix, the Golden Rule was not obeyed.

Chief Engineer, Laurent Mekies said: “Today’s programme was supposed to be a repeat of yesterday’s – pit stop practice in the morning, followed by a race simulation in the afternoon – with Sébastien taking over from Jaime. However, the morning rain slightly altered the plans, although we were able to complete the race simulation, as there were only two periods of light drizzle in the afternoon.”

At the end of the session Buemi said: “Despite the rain, my first day in Barcelona has gone well. Carrying out a race simulation was very useful and it was particularly interesting to see how the tyre behaviour changed depending on the fuel load. In the races, it will be important to drive smoothly, as on full tanks it is very easy to damage the tyres if you slide too much. Today was good and so we can try and improve a bit more tomorrow, our last chance before Bahrain.”

Technical Director, Giorgio Ascanelli said: “With just one more day of pre-season testing remaining, It is very encouraging that we have successfully completed two race simulations on two consecutive days.”
